Puppy Classes & Puppy Play Groups

We offer two types of puppy classes, with Puppy Classes catering to puppies aged 8-12 weeks, and Senior Puppy Classes for dogs aged 13-24 weeks.

Our Puppy Play Groups are the perfect addition to Puppy Classes whether that be one of Our puppy class’s or another Vet or Pet Shop Puppy Preschool.

Puppy Classes

Duration: 5 weeks
Cost: $190
Suitable for: Owners and puppies aged 8-12 weeks
Locations: Albany Creek QLD, Everton Park QLD

The Positive Pet Project’s five week Puppy Class program is designed to help you create a lasting bond with your new pup. As with all of our services, you will learn the fundamentals of how your puppy learns, how your puppy communicates, and the best way to train your puppy. In this program we will cover:

  • Toilet Training
  • Biting
  • Socialisation and life experience – and why it’s important. More than just meeting people and dogs!
  • Clicker training
  • Responding to their name
  • Sit
  • Drop
  • Begin lead walking
  • Calm behaviour, why it’s important and some techniques

Our Puppy Classes are small, with a maximum of 6 pups in each course so that everyone gets plenty of individualised attention. Please note that our first class in the program is just for humans! In the first puppy-free week, we will explain the basics of positive reinforcement training and how dogs learn. You will also receive your clicker and learn how it is used as a powerful positive training tool. We will also use the first class to talk about what you want to get out of classes and things you would like to cover in the remaining four weeks.

Please contact us at any time if you have questions about this popular program!
